Nainital- The Lake District

The Britishers first discovered a small town (Nainital) as a holiday resort for making their life joyful, in 1841.

At present time that small town has emerged as one of the most important hill resorts of India. Nainital is popular and beautiful hill station of Kumaon region in Uttarakhand of North India, which is connected with Delhi via Uttar Pradesh west. From Delhi it is almost 350 km away. Way To Reach

To reach Nainital all the three major facilities are available.

By Air PantNagar is the only nearest airport which is 70 km far away from Nainital connected with New Delhi airport. From PantNagar to Nainital by road journey is the only option.

By Rail To reach Nainital train facility are available till Kathgodam.After de-boarding the train at Kathgodam which is known as Gateway of Hills, Taxis are easily available to cover 35 km journey by road.

By Road Nainital is well connected with most of the cities in North India, In between is a dense forest area in a large circumference where sometime wild animals can be seen at night time.

Hanumangarhi is 3 km away from Nainital and popular for worship of Lord Hanuman and classical view of Sunset.

Snow View 3 km away hill area connected by Ropeway. From here the Himalaya Darshan can be easily done with the help of telescope fixed here enabling powerful zooming facilities.

Kilbury is at 10 km distance from Nainital and popular place for peaceful holiday , weekend.

Naini Lake the most enjoyable site is the Naini Lake in the town therefore the town itself named Nainital.

Bhimtal is at 10 km distance from Lake. In Bhimtal having a lake also which is larger then Naini Lake. At this place Boating, swimming, Fishing are the enjoyable activities.
