Kainchi Dham Ashram

Kainchi Dham Ashram is located at the distance of 17 Km from Nainital, 37 Km from Kathgodam on Nainital-Almora road in Kumaon region in Uttrakhand. This Ashram is famous for its supernatural act of God.

CHRONICAL

This place come into cosmos in 1942 when Maharaj Neem Karoli Baba and kainchi village inmate Shree Poornand desired to build an Ashram dedicated to Sombari Maharaj and Sadhu Premi Baba who used to come here in very place to perform yagnas. The big challenge in front of Baba was the land covered with dense forest. In 1962 Baba got permission from forest conservators to build Ashram. Baba acquired the rectangular land, after clearing the area Baba build a Hanuman Temple and an Ashram for devotees. Beside the Hanuman Temple there is a cave where Baba used to contemplation and pray. The consecration function of lord Hanuman  held on 15th June, thus 15 June is celebrated as Pratishtha Diwas. This day a huge number of devotees come to take Prasad. State administration do the all necessary arrangements to avoid any type of panic. 

SIGNIFICANCE

Kainchi Dham Ashram has special importance in each and every devotee's life. Devotees gets the Benediction as per they pay their devotion in all honesty towards Neem Karoli Baba and lord Hanuman. According to folklore devotees got fame, peace, prosperity and success here.

   Late Steve Jobs the charismatic Apple founder and CEO and Mark Zuckerberg the Facebook founder deeply influenced by indian spiritualism. Apple founder Steve Jobs visited the Kainchi Dham Ashram to meet Neem Karoli Baba, however he could not meet Baba who died before his arrival. During Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg open his secret that he had visited the Kainchi Dham Ashram during the initial days of facebook on the advise of Apple founder Late Steve Jobs (source: Economic Times)

PRECEPT

Neem Karoli Baba gave precept to the people to live in this world for goodness of each other and thought the meaning of human life. Neem Karoli Baba precept show the right way and give strength to stand with the right thing in this world. As per people emphasis when any devote get sidetracked and wish to get back to right path & remember to Neem Karoli Baba in all honesty, Baba rush to help, guide, Feed and protect them in present time also.

CONSTRUCTION OF NEEM KAROLI BABA TEMPLE

Neem Karoli Baba left his body midnight 10 September 1973 in Vrindavan.

Devotees collected Baba's ashes in a Kalash and kept in Kainchi Dham at the time of construction started. In the starting there was no planning and design made for construction of Baba's temple in 1974. All the devotees become volunteer to made Baba's temple.

 Every morning craftsman start construction work with holy bath and wearing fresh clothes, chanting Hanuman chalisa along with that reciting "Maharaj ji ki jai." The devotees also recited "Hare Rama-Hare Rama-Jai Jai Rama". Ladies also joined the construction work and write "Ram" on the bricks and passed them to the workers. As the construction work progress the chanting of  "Maharaj ji ki jai" also increase with the number of devotees and slowly slowly the whole atmosphere vibrated with the chanting "Maharaj ji ki jai" and  the devotees & workers got some different kind of zest. Workers put the commendable effort to alloy the devotion with construction and infused the faith of devotees in the temple atmosphere and build a beautiful temple.

CONSECRATION

The day 15 June when Neem Karoli Baba himself consecrated the Kainchi Dham, also selected for the consecration of Baba's idol by their devotees in 1976. The devotees installed Kalash and hoisted flag on the temple with the sound of bells, gongs, drums and conches. The atmosphere was ecstatic and everyone had the feeling of physical presence of Baba. From that day Baba showing his appearance in the form of idol in Kainchi Dham Ashram.

HOW TO REACH

1. By Train: To reach Kainchi Dham train facilities are available till Kathgodam. From Kathgodam to Kainchi Dham 37 km on Haldwani-Almora road taxi can hire.

2. By Road: To reach Kainchi Dham it's easy to come by road as it's well connected to all major cities. The nearest large city is Haldwani and the another famous place is Nainital. The distance from Nainital to Kainchi Dham is 17 km. By road the route is same as Heldwani-Almora road.

STAY FOR DEVOTEES

1. Inside The Ashram: Devotees planning to visit the Kainchi Dham Ashram has to take prior permission from manager. Devotees can take prior permission online by sending mail attached with reference note from older devotee and stay request along with a self photo to ashram's official mail id kainchidham@gmail.com or by post to the address:

Dist- Nainital, State-Uttrakhand India.

After permission granted one can stay for maximum three days. The Ashram remains closed for some months because it is very cold here.

2. Outside The Ashram: Most of the Devotees stay in Nainital or Bhowali and visits the Kainchi Dham Ashram during the day time. Hotel and restaurant are easily available for every class. It's good to book the room in advance to avoid last moment hassle.
